Michelle Houston is part of the collective; See Saw Group. They work in
a site responsive manor through multi disciplinary forms between
experimental theatre, installation, happenings and performance art.
Collectively they have worked in many cross collaborations, from
organising and running workshops for youth groups at the V&A to
experimental street performances as part of Prague Quadrennial.
Their aim is to push the conventional boundaries of these forms by
confronting the relationship between audience and performer,
playing with duration, intervention and audience participation.
Michelle Houston's interests lie in social and cultural theory. Within her
practice she focuses on how we document the live and what remains
after the performance, whether it be a sculptural form or the
performance image. |
