Since starting this course, Anita and Lerissa have found a strong creative
unique partnership to produce outstanding adaptations and productions
that are intended for the younger audience of today. Some of these
adpatations taken from William Shakepeare's 'Macbeth' and
'
The
Merchants of Venice,' making them relevant and understandable to
the language, environment and youths of today's society.
We gain interest through holding drama workshops, touring in schools,
street theatre as we aim for the youths to build their confidence and
show their creativeness through participation and commitment.
We want the youths to reflect on the social issues and most importantly
to engage them to participate in performance and to build an interest in
theatre. If plays are all intended for adult audiences, how will theatre and
performance grow without the insights and awareness from the youths? |
